Ready-made company: what it means in practice
A ready-made company is not a “used” company. It is incorporated in advance for sale, has an identification number (IČ), paid-up share capital and an entry in the Commercial Register, but it has not carried out business activity.
For the buyer, the main advantage is speed. Instead of waiting for incorporation, trade licence notification and registration, you choose a prepared company and complete the transfer documents.
After signing the documents, you can usually act for the company under a power of attorney within 24 hours. The formal register changes then follow according to the court or notary procedure.
What is included in the transfer
The transfer price includes the standard change of shareholder and managing director, a registered seat change within Prague, court fees and a free trade licence. We also hand over the company documents and declarations confirming the clean history of the company.
If you need a different company name, a registered seat outside Prague, multiple managing directors or a more complex ownership structure, we will tell you in advance which extra documents or notarial steps are required.

Who ready-made companies are suitable for
A ready-made company is useful when you need a Czech company quickly for a contract, tender, e-shop, licence process or real estate transaction. It is also practical for foreign clients who want a Czech legal entity without dealing with every authority themselves.
If speed is not important and you want a specific name from the beginning, tailor-made s.r.o. formation may be the better and cheaper route.
How quickly can I start doing business
You can usually act for the company almost immediately. After a power of attorney and the transfer documents are signed before a notary, the company is normally handed over within 24 hours. We handle the notarial deed and Commercial Register filings for you.
How much does a ready-made company cost
A ready-made s.r.o. with a FIRMIN registered seat starts at 14 900 Kč, or 17 900 Kč with your own seat. An a.s. starts at 59 900 Kč with a FIRMIN seat and 62 900 Kč with your own seat. Prices are final and include the free trade licence and court fees; DPH is not added.
