Changes in the Commercial Register
Managing director, registered seat, company name, business activity or share transfer. We prepare documents and filings remotely.

What we can change for you
Whenever a registered company detail changes, the change must be entered in the Commercial Register.

Commercial Register changes without unnecessary travel
The exact procedure depends on whether the change affects the founding deed and whether a notarial deed is required. Simple changes can often be filed with prepared documents and a court fee; more complex changes are handled directly with a notary.
We first check what you need to change and then tell you the procedure, documents, price and timing. The aim is to combine related changes into one filing whenever possible.
Do I have to attend in person because of a change
No. We handle changes remotely, so you do not have to visit us. We prepare all documents, the filing application and powers of attorney. For changes requiring a notarial deed, we arrange the notary, including remotely where possible. For simpler changes without a notary, you file the prepared application with the registry court and pay the 2 000 Kč court fee.
Which changes require a notary and which do not
Without a notary, we can usually handle a change of managing director or shareholder, and often a seat change within the same municipality. A notarial deed is usually needed for a company-name change, a change in the number of managing directors, division of a share and often changes to business activities. A share transfer does not require a notary, but the transfer agreement adds 1 000 Kč. We confirm the need and price in advance.
How quickly will the change be completed
For changes with a notarial deed, the change can be entered in the Commercial Register within 24 hours because the notary registers it directly. For simpler changes without a notary, timing depends on the registry court workload, usually within 5 working days after all documents are delivered.
What documents will I need to provide
It depends on the type of change. We send you the exact list after your enquiry, so you do not have to search unnecessarily. Usually it is basic company information and details of the people affected by the change. We prepare all forms and filings for you.
How much does a register change cost
Simple changes without a notary start at 1 990 Kč + DPH, plus a 2 000 Kč court fee. Changes with a notarial deed start at 9 490 Kč + DPH and include the notary and register entry. A share transfer increases the price by 1 000 Kč for the transfer agreement. We always confirm the specific price in advance.
How do I change the managing director in an s.r.o.
The shareholders approve the change by decision; in a single-member s.r.o., the sole shareholder decides. The new managing director provides consent to appointment and a declaration. The filing is usually made to the registry court without a notary. We prepare all documents and the application; you then file it and pay the 2 000 Kč court fee. Entry is usually made within 5 working days.
Where is the application for a register change filed
The application is filed with the registry court, which is the regional court according to the company seat; for Prague companies it is the Municipal Court in Prague. If a notarial deed is required, the notary makes the entry directly under a power of attorney. For simpler changes, we prepare the application and documents, and you file them with the court and pay the 2 000 Kč fee.
Can you handle several changes at once
Yes. If you change, for example, the managing director, registered seat and business activity at the same time, we combine everything into one filing. This saves time and costs compared with separate applications.
Typical changes we handle
Most requests concern a new managing director, shareholder transfer, company name, registered seat or business activity. We also prepare combinations of several changes, which can save both time and court fees.
- appointment or removal of a managing director
- change of shareholder or share transfer
- company name change
- registered seat change
- addition or removal of business activities
- changes in shareholder or managing director personal data
Notary or no notary
Some changes can be made without a notarial deed. Others, especially changes to the founding deed, require a notary and can then often be entered into the Commercial Register directly.
If a notary is needed, we coordinate the documents and signing. If a power of attorney is enough, the process can usually be handled remotely.
